In the heart of old Montmatre at the bottom of beautiful staircase leading directly to the Sacré Coeur (only 3 minutes away), this simple but charming studio apartment is ideal for a couple wanting to spend a romantic week in one of the most picturesque areas of Paris.

Known as the 'village of Paris' Montmatre is how most people imagine the city to be, with its winding cobbled streets illuminated by old iron lampposts, traditional French restaurants and bars, cabarets and the most stunning views over the Paris.

The apartment is on the second floor of a 17th century convent, it sleeps 2 and was entirely renovated in 2004. Passage Cotton, is a very quiet street that inspired a painting by Maurice Utrillo and featured in the film "Amélie". The nearest métro is 4 minutes away at Chateau Rouge.

You enter via a small entrance hall which leads straight to the living room on your left, the kitchen on your right and the bathroom straight ahead.

The main living area offers a calm countryside feel with wooden floorboards, large wooden beams, a working, wood burning, fireplace and two large windows that give the room a light airy feel. There is a double folding sofa bed (5ft3 x 6ft3, 160cm x 190cm), a small dining room table with two chairs, an antique wooden cupboard, telephone, TV with cable (CNN, BBC), a DVD player and a stereo.

The kitchen has all the expected appliances including fridge/ freezer, microwave, electric hobs, kettle, coffee machine, toaster and dishwasher. However there is no traditional oven and no washing machine (a launderette can be found 1 minutes walk away).

The bathroom has a bath tub, overhead shower, wash basin and a loo. There are also wooden floorboards.

The old Montmartre atmosphere won't fail to charm you. Try the Suk O Thai on rue Custine, considered by the locals as the best Thai restaurant of the area, or one of the many traditional French restaurants of the rue Lepic or simply enjoy the sunset from the Sacré Coeur with views over one of the most beautiful cities in the world!
