This well appointed 4th floor apartment (no lift) is perfect for a couple wanting to enjoy a stay in an area of Paris with a truly "local" feel - away from the tourists yet within in easy access of all the sights. Here you're within walking distance of bustling Montparnasse, the old hunting ground of Hemingway, with its many restaurants, bars and boutiques and just a stone's throw from Parc Montsouris with its lake, grottos and waterfalls. The nearest métro stations are Plaisance a 5 minutes walk, or Alésia 7 minutes away. Alternatively take the number 58 bus directly from your doorstep to the Latin Quarter and the River Seine

The apartment has attractive wooden flooring throughout and has been smartly decorated in a classic modern style. Facing due south it is extremely bright and airy. One double bedroom accommodates two people.

You enter into a small hallway which has an office area with an antique desk and high-speed broadband internet connection. Bring your own laptop.

The hallway leads through to the living dining and kitchen area (18ft10 x 14ft, 5.75m x 4.25m) where colourful rugs cover the floor. There is a large "Conran" sofa, two modern armchairs, a coffee table, a stereo system and a TV with cable channels. The dining table seats 6 and there's a smaller breakfast table.

In the kitchen area there are all the expected appliances: oven, electric induction hobs, extractor fan, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, blender, coffee machine, kettle and toaster. A washing machine is housed in the separate loo located off the entrance hall.

The bedroom (10ft6 x 9ft6, 3.2m x 2.9m) has a double bed (5ft3, 1.6m), two tables with reading lamps, another TV and a large walk in wardrobe. The en-suite bathroom has a bath tub with overhead shower and a wash basin.

Being an area off the regular tourist routes, you will get to see "real life" Paris where the locals are a lot more friendly! Enjoy the food market at the crossroads between rue Didot and rue d'Alésia (Wednesday and Saturday mornings) and don't miss the Porte de Vanves flea market, with its mile upon mile of antiques, books and clothes.
