This 2 (or is it 3?) bedroom apartment is situated in the heart of the Latin quarter only minutes away from the Jardin de Luxembourg, Panthéon, rue Mouffetard and the Sorbonne. Indeed it is the ideal base from which to explore one of the most historically rich areas of Paris. One is also in walking distance of St Germain, Notre Dame and the river Seine. The nearest métro is 2 minutes away at Luxembourg.

The apartment is located on the 5th floor (with lift) and is ideal for a family with 2 children or 4 adults. There is one double bedroom and twin room with the beds separated by a mezzanine, and one bathroom with separate loo. The apartment is decorated in a traditional French style and little nooks and crannies give it a rather Ali-Baba feel!
One enters the apartment directly into the office/study area, where you will find a desk with broadband internet access, and a large library.

Continuing through the office/study area, one arrives in the living/dinning area. This is the largest room in the house and has a large sofa, two armchairs, an ottoman, a coffee table and a wooden dining table that comfortably seats 6 people.
There is also a working wood fire and a TV with cable channels (including CNN and BBC). The room has been decorated with objects collected from the owners many travels.

The kitchen is just off the living/dining area and has all the expected appliances including hobs, oven, fridge/freezer, coffee machine although there is no dishwasher. There is a washer/dryer just off the kitchen in the pantry.

A short ladder in the study/office area leads to the first bedroom which has been made by using the attic space. Here you will find a double bed (5ft3,160cm wide) and a bedside table with lamp, as well as a desk area.
At the far end of the living area a door leads to the second bedroom. Here you will find two separate single beds on separate levels. This rather original layout means that the bed on the upper level shares its space with the bathroom! There is however a separate loo downstairs next to the kitchen.

The lower level has a bed (4ft, 120cm wide), bedside table with lamp, chair and plenty of cupboard space. Upstairs there is a slightly larger single bed with bedside table and reading lamp.
The bathroom has a bathtub with hand-held shower and a wash basin. There is also a towel heater.
The area has several traditional French markets including rue Moffetard (every day), and place Monge (twice a week). There is also an abundance of restaurants to choose from. Try Mavrommatis (42 rue Daubenton), arguably the best Greek restaurant in Paris or Marty (20 avenue des Gobelins) - French cuisine. There's also Le Languedoc (64 boulevard de Port-Royal) specialising in dishes from south-west France.
This is a No Smoking property.
