This charming two bedroom apartment is located in the heart of St Germain des Prés, the intellectual centre of gravity of Paris and the quarter of bistros, bookshops, coffee houses, galleries, antique shops and jazz cafés. Its ideal location means many of Paris's most famous monuments and attractions are within walking distance. Indeed both the Louvre (visible from the living room window) and the Musée d'Orsay are just a stone's throw away.

To the east the area is bordered by the Champs Elysées, Les Invalides and the Eiffel Tower and to the west and south by Notre Dame, the Latin Quarter and the Luxembourg Gardens. The nearest métros are Solferino and rue du Bac, both just a few minutes walk away. There are direct links to Versailles from the RER at Musée d'Orsay.

The apartment is located on the 4th floor (no lift) and comfortably sleeps 3 people in a double bedroom and a fold out sofa bed in the second living/sleeping area - there are two bathrooms.

The apartment is bright and airy and has been decorated in a contemporary Parisian style with parquet floorboards throughout.

You enter into a reception hall - to the left the living/dining area (24ft x 14ft7, 7.30m x 4.45m) has been laid out in open-plan style.

Here you will find a large comfortable Italian leather sofa and armchair with leather cushions, a central coffee table, TV and CD player. In the same area there's a dining table with seating for four.

The kitchen is separate but has a hatch through to the dining area. It has all the expected appliances including oven, electric hobs, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, washer/dryer, coffee machine, kettle and toaster.

Across the entrance hall is the main bathroom, decorated in modern style, with basin, shower-cubical and loo.

A corridor leads from the entrance hall to the main bedroom and a second living area. The main bedroom ( ), has a double bed (4ft7, 1.4m wide), two bedside tables with reading lamps and ample cupboard space.

The second living area / bedroom (17ft x 8ft4, 5.20m x 2.55m) has a comfortable armchair and a small sofa that folds out into a single bed. There is also an en-suite bathroom with a small bathtub (hand-held shower)and basin.

The area is full of things to do and see and the location couldn't be more ideal. Anyone visiting St Germain des Prés for the first time should not leave without paying a visit to the Café les Deux Magots, the Café des Flores and the Brasserie Lipp, all frequented by the writers of the "Lost Generation" of the 20s and 30s, and by the post World War II Existentialists.
