This 3 bedroom apartment is situated on the magnificent Place de la République. On the border of the 4e, 10e and 11e arrondissements, it can hardly be bettered as a base to explore this beautiful city. From here you are within easy walking distance of the Marais, the Pompidou Centre, the Canal St Martin, and the river Seine. The nearest métro station (République) is only 100 metres away and from here there are direct links to the Gare du Nord, Gare de L'Est, Concorde, Opéra, Grands Boulevards, Madeleine and Bastille to name but a few.

Its central location does mean there is a fair amount of road traffic, however being on the 4th floor (with lift) there is only very light noise - nothing which would worry anybody used to city living.

The apartment accommodates 6 people in 3 double bedrooms with 2 bathrooms and one (separate) loo., it has high ceilings and beautiful wooden floorboards and has been decorated in a classical French style and furnished with antiques. It's owned by a Jazz vocalist who spends a lot of time touring

The front door opens onto an entrance hall and corridor that links all the rooms. Here you will find a coat rack and a hall table with two chairs.

The main living and dining area (16ft6 x 15ft, 5.00m x 4.55m is furnished with a double sofa, two armchairs, a coffee table and TV (with cable channels). Oriental rugs cover the floor and a antique mirror hangs over a decorative fireplace. A large wooden dining table seats 6 people comfortably. The kitchen has all the expected appliances including ample cupboard space, gas oven and hobs, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, although no dryer (washing can be hung on in the bathroom) fridge freezer, coffee machine and kettle.

Across the hallway, the main bedroom (14ft9 x 13ft3, 4.50m x 4.05m) has a double bed (6ft6 x 5ft3, 200cm x 160cm), a chest of drawers, reading table, antique cupboard and a chair. Its en-suite bathroom has a bath tub, hand-held shower and a wash basin.

Large doors on either side of the living area open onto two of the bedrooms. The first bedroom (14ft x 11ft6, 4.25m x 3.50m) has a double bed (6ft6 x 4ft7, 200cm x 140cm), an antique cupboard a reading table and a wood-burning fireplace. The second (13ft9 x 9ft9, 4.20m x 3.00m) is similarly furnished.

There is also a separate shower room further along the corridor.

At your doorstep you will find late night convenience stores and an abundance of bars, cafés and restaurants. Don't miss the Favela Chic a wonderful Brazilian bar / restaurant where you can eat, drink and dance the night away in an atmosphere of fiesta. If you want something a little more calm and romantic try the traditional French L'Estaminet on rue Oberkampf or Le Pachyderm on Blvd St Martin with its colonial decor and "world food".
